The sub-project “Study on the Safe and Efficient Use of Environmentally Compatible Pesticides†of the National “Tenth Five-Year†Science and Technology Research Project “Agricultural and Forestry Major Pests and Diseases and Agricultural Meteorological Disasters Early Warning and Control Technology Research†hosted by China Agricultural University Important progress has been made in the resistance mechanisms of important agricultural pests such as cotton aphid and diamondback moth and molecular detection of drug resistance.
In response to the main pests and diseases of rice, cotton and other crops in China, researchers at the institute have made breakthroughs in new pesticide formulations, multi-purpose mixtures, new plant-derived pesticides, pesticide safety, and efficient use of technology. 25 new dosage forms and new multi-functional mixture, 18 of which have been put into production; 1 invention patent has been granted, 8 patents have been applied; 7 have been approved, of which 2 have won awards; demonstration of pest resistance control has been established There are 8 bases, 2 demonstration bases for pesticide precision use technology, and pilot lines and production lines for new pesticide formulations. The results of the project have reached the domestic leading level as a whole, and some of the achievements have reached the international advanced level. The promotion and application of the research results of this subject will increase the effective utilization rate of pesticides in China by about 30%, and reduce the use of existing pesticides by nearly 40%, which will greatly increase farmers' output and reduce the environmental pollution of chemical pesticides.
