People's Daily, Jinan, October 26th: In order to implement the “Regulations on Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseasesâ€, “Administrative Regulations on Radiological Diagnosis and Treatment†and “Administrative Measures on Occupational Health of Radiation Workersâ€, the protection level of radiation workers is enhanced, and occupational health of radiation workers is strengthened. In management, the Health Bureau of Qingzhou City recently held a training course on radiation protection for radiation workers. A total of 171 radiologists (mainly including radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, diagnostic radiology, interventions, applicators, osteopaths, etc.) and radiologists from all medical and health units in the city participated in the training study. .
The training course was given by Lu Yongping, Radiation Health Specialist of the CDC of Weifang City. The training included quality control and protection requirements for X-ray image diagnosis, protection management of interventional radiology, quality control requirements for radiotherapy, and introduction of national standards. Medical quality control requirements and protection management, radiation staff health monitoring and radiation effects, radiation diagnosis and treatment related laws and regulations knowledge.
After the completion of the training, the basic knowledge of radiation protection was carried out, and the examination results were taken as an integral part of the annual review of the application for the “radioactive worker certificate†or “radioactive staff certificateâ€.
