木皮的标准切割方法

木门所用木皮的直纹、花纹就是通过不同的切割方法产生的。

根据阔叶木胶合板及木皮协会的数据显示，市场常用的木皮标准切割方法如下

旋切 (Rotary Cut) – 将原木安装在车床中央，切片刀以微少角度插入原木，然后将原木顶着切片刀旋转，便可造出旋切木皮。旋切木皮能阔至提供整板(单块)板面。

弦切 (Plain Slicing, Flat cut) – 又称平切、平面切片/平片，弦切木皮是指切片刀沿着原木中心的并行线，切出木片。从对开原木切出来的弦切木皮，最入一层的年轮会形成「大教堂」式的图案木纹。

径切 (Quarter Slicing) – 径切是垂直切向原木的年轮，生产出呈现直纹的木皮。

剖料切 (Rift-Cut) – 剖料切木皮采用各种橡木制造。橡木的木髓射线由原木中心伸展开来，就像车轮的弯曲轮辐。以微少角度切向橡木的木髓射线，尽量减低「鳞片」状木纹的出现，生产出有直纹的木皮。

纵向切 (Lengthwise Slicing) – 将平锯板材平放通过固定的切片刀，从板材底部切出木皮。纵向切木皮的纹理图案变化多端。
