Sinochem New Network News Nigerian Minister of Agriculture Abdullah said recently that Nigeria had purchased more than 900,000 tons of chemical fertilizers in 2010, worth 89.3 billion naira (about 600 million U.S. dollars). These fertilizers were distributed to the states in the form of government subsidies of 25%, and the subsidies were paid out to 22.3 billion naira.
