In the road traffic safety management work, the need for road safety protection for drivers and drivers is becoming more and more important. By arranging a special reflective vest on the car, the visibility of the occupants can be effectively improved and the occupant's road traffic safety can be guaranteed. At the same time, according to the mandatory national standard “Motor Vehicle Operation Safety Technical Conditions” (GB 7258-2017) that was implemented from January 1, 2018: “An automobile (except a three-wheeled vehicle without a cab) should be equipped with a reflective vest” . In order to guide the design, production and selection of reflective vests (hereinafter referred to as reflective vests), it is necessary to formulate product technical standards to further standardize the style, safety, and performance of the products, so as to ensure that reflective vests can effectively play a role in safety protection.

The requirements for the structure and production requirements of the reflective vest should be universal. The style should be simple and easy to use. It is convenient for the occupants to wear and facilitate the design and use of the product.

The national standards for "car occupant reflective vest" put forward the technical requirements of reflective vests from appearance quality, style requirements, production requirements, safety requirements, material properties, and garment performance.

1, style requirements

In the style requirements, the requirements for the size, material area and design style of the reflective vest are proposed. 3, fluorescent materials

Fluorescent material properties include: color, accelerated sun exposure, water shrinkage, mechanical properties, and color fastness requirements. Among them, the color requirement is based on fluorescent yellow, which mainly considers the recognition sensitivity of human eyes to colors at dusk, rain and fog, and selects the mainstream colors of protective vest products at home and abroad; the color fastness index is mainly referred to as “national textile”. The product's basic safety technical specification (GB 18401), combined with the use characteristics of the reflective vest on the outer surface of clothing, proposed that the perspiration-resistant and washing-resistant color fastness requirements are 3, and the rubbing fastness is 4 grades.

4, retroreflective materials

In order to ensure the visibility of the reflective vest, the performance requirements of the retroreflective material are proposed from the aspects of retroreflection coefficient, perspiration resistance and solvent resistance. Among them: the retroreflection coefficient includes the requirements of the initial state, the wet state, and the physical test after the three parts, taking into account the fact that reflective vests use longer than ordinary protective clothing, factors such as the attenuation of reflective properties under long-term storage conditions in the car, "initial inverse The index of the "reflection coefficient" is mainly referred to in "The Road Traffic Accident Field Protective Clothing" (GA/T 1045). 5, clothing performance

In order to adapt to the temperature storage environment on the car, the standard puts forward the requirements of the temperature-resistant storage performance of the reflective vest. The test temperature selects the actual high-low temperature storage temperature of the car: low temperature -40°C and high temperature 70°C, and the test conditions are periodically changed during the storage temperature cycle. In the following, the fabric of the reflective vest shall be free of sticking and odor, and the fluorescent material and retroreflective material shall have no cross-talk phenomenon. The retroreflection coefficient at the illumination angle of 5° and observation angle 12′ shall be greater than or equal to 300 cd•lx- 1•m-2.

In order to adapt to the damp and closed storage environment on the automobile, from the perspective of guaranteeing the basic performance of reflective vests, the standard refers to the evaluation method of “anti-mildew properties of textiles” (GB/T 24346), and proposes the requirements of mold resistance, and puts forward reflective vests Grade 3 or higher, the surface of the fluorescent material should be free of mildew, and the surface of the retroreflective material should be free of permanent dirt.
