Bisphenol A in plastic products or premature birth in pregnant women

[Jiuzhi Plastics News] Bisphenol A, also known as BPA, is industrially used to synthesize polycarbonate (PC) and epoxy resins. Since the 1960s, it has been used to make plastic (milk) bottles, sucker cups for young children, and food and beverage (milk powder) cans. BPA is everywhere, from mineral water bottles, medical devices to food packaging. And a recent study showed that this bisphenol A may cause premature birth in pregnant women.
Bisphenol A in plastic products or premature birth in pregnant women
A recent study in the United States showed that the chemical component of bisphenol A, which is commonly found in plastic products , may cause premature delivery in pregnant women. Researchers at the University of Texas Medical School's Galveston campus collected blood samples from pregnant women who were sent to the hospital for childbirth and their amniotic fluid samples during childbirth. Women found to have high levels of bisphenol A in their blood were found to have lower levels of bisphenol A. The premature birth rate of pregnant women is high. The researchers explained that bisphenol A may cause abnormal inflammation and increase the risk of pregnancy complications, such as early water and premature birth.
The author of the report, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ramkumar Menon, said: “Women are always exposed to bisphenol A because it is used in the manufacture of food containers and is released into food by heating in a microwave oven or other means. There will be more.” The research team led by Menon is going to study the molecular pathway of bisphenol A and find ways to prevent it. Before the new research results come out, it may be safer to avoid using plastic products to hold and heat the food to avoid affecting health.
